Mainframe emulators have been available for personal computers for more than 25 years.
Yesterday's burden evolved into numerous solutions based on a client/server architecture. Today's standard is to deploy
purely Web-based applications, with low costs of ownership and limited acquisition and maintenance costs.
The migration to Windows 7, which the Gartner Group says is a must for companies using Windows XP or
earlier versions, will require the deployment of new versions of client applications.
This represents a tremendous opportunity for migrating client/server solutions to Pure Web solutions for companies looking to
take advantage of their lost cost, while limiting the impact of future migrations.
